Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, 1 clasp, The Nile 1884-85 (1689 Pte. H. Green, 20th Husrs.) light pitting from star, otherwise very fine £150-200

2 officers and 42 other ranks of the 20th Hussars served in the Light Camel Regiment on the Nile.

Harry Green was born at Haslemere, Surrey, and enlisted into the 20th Hussars on 30 June 1884, a groom by trade, aged 21 years 9 months. He served on the Nile and also with the Egyptian Frontier Field Force 1885-6, and was present at the battle of Ginnis. He transferred to the 7th Hussars on 1 March 1887, and was discharged on 29 June 1896. Sold with copy discharge papers.
