Estimate: £400–£500

Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, 4 clasps, Alexandria 11th July, Tel-El-Kebir, Suakin 1884, El-Teb-Tamaai (J. Hoile, A.B. H.M.S. “Hecla”) fitted with replacement suspension rod and unofficial rivets between first two clasps, pitted from star, otherwise good fine and a unique combination of clasps £400-500

Rolls confirm all four clasps, the first two being sent to Hecla on 27 April 1883, and the last two being sent to Hecla on 30 January 1885. This is a unique combination of clasps to the Egypt medal.

At the battle of El-Teb, Captain A. K. Wilson, of H.M.S. Hecla, won the Victoria Cross for single-handed combat with the enemy.
