M.C. London Gazette 4 February 1918. ‘Lt. (A./Capt.) Albert Victor Heal, R.F.A.’ Citation London Gazette 5 July 1918 ‘For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. When he was in command of the battery, which was being heavily shelled while in action, three of the detachment of one gun were killed and two others buried under some burning ammunition. He assisted to extricate the wounded men, and continued to fire the battery, which remained in action throughout this critical period owing to his coolness and presence of mind’.

Lieutenant (Acting Captain) Albert Victor Heal was mentioned in despatches whilst serving with the A/281st Brigade (London) R.F.A. (T.F.).
