Boettcher served aboard H.M.S. Intrepid (a landing platform dock) during the Falklands War.

Sold with two group photographs including recipient, one of the King’s Squad 71 Troop and the other taken in Sinai in 1984 whilst serving with the Multinational Force and Observers; another photograph of recipient in Sinai; Multinational Force and Observers unnamed cerificate; and two other letters from military sources congratulating recipient on his illustrating and designing skills.
