Leslie Buckley, a native of Hull, died in the U.K. on 30 July 1940 and is buried in the Catterick Military Cemetery, Yorkshire. Given the fact the Green Howards were engaged with the B.E.F. in 1940 - and indeed in Norway - it is possible Buckley died of wounds.
