The Black Watch (Royal Highlanders) 3rd Volunteer Battalion, a very scarce other ranks die-stamped white metal glengarry badge c1887-1901, a standard Thistle star with a QVC and top scrolls, ‘3rd Vol Battn Royal Highrs.’ and bottom scrolls ‘Black Watch’, St. Andrew & Cross centre with the Sphinx between the bottom scrolls, one lug crudely replaced and the central oval with solder filling; The Black Watch (Royal Highlanders). A good quality die-stamped white metal QVC glengarry badge (KK655) the ensuing KC patterns with variable motto spelling, a 1937-1952 white metal issue (no scrolls), an officer’s 1937-1952 glengarry/bonnet badge in sterling silver and gilt (rubbed) and a silver plated and gilt QEC example, good condition (7) £100-150
