Hylton Charles Clayden enlisted into the 20th Battalion London Regiment on 24 July 1915 and entered into the France/Flanders theatre of war on 27 October 1915, serving there until 15 November 1915. He was invalided to England as a result of shell shock suffered on 10 November 1915. Clayden was discharged from the Army as a result of his injuries on 10 September 1917 and was awarded the Silver War Badge. Sold with copied service papers, roll extract and m.i.c.
