William Clode, living at St. Mawes, Cornwall, enlisted at Plymouth. Serving with the 5th Battalion Devonshire Regiment, he died whilst serving with the Egypt Expeditionary Force on 8 October 1915. He was buried in the Cairo War Memorial Cemetery.
