Superintendent James Thomson, Glasgow Fire Brigade, awarded the Glasgow Bravery Medal on 5 August 1941. 'Superintendent James Thomson and Fireman James McIntyre, Eastern Fire Station who rescued three children from a burning house at 78 Westmuir Street on 22nd March last.' Sold with a copied group photograph which includes James Thomson as part of the winning team for fire drill in 1908.
