Thomas Coonan was born at Ogomelloc, Killaloe, County Clare, and enlisted at Llanelly, Glamorganshire. He entered the France/Flanders theatre of war with the Grenadier Guards on 26 July 1915. He was killed in action on 7 May 1918, aged 23 years, whilst serving with the 4th Battalion, Guards Machine Gun Regiment in France. He was buried at Gommecourt Wood New Cemetery, Foncquevillers, France. Sold with copied research.
