87519 Flight Lieutenant Alexander Glendinning, R.A.F.V.R., was the son of The Rev. J. P. C. Glendinning and Caroline Mary Glendinning, of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Captured by the Japanese, he died on 14 February 1942, aged 37 years. His name is commemorated on the Singapore Memorial. Sold with card forwarding box (no address) and condolence slip named to ‘Flight Lieutenant A. Glendinning’.
