Walter Leonard Clarke was born in Clapton, London, on 23 August 1889. A Draughtsman by occupation, he entered the R.N.A.S. as a Petty Officer Mechanic on 13 April 1915. With them he served with the armoured cars in the Dardanelles. He later served as an Air Mechanic Class 1 Gunlayer and was based at Calshot and Bembridge. In April 1918, entering the R.A.F., he attained the rank of Sergeant Mechanic and was mentioned in despatches. Sold with copied service papers.

Norman Langton Silvester was born in Sale, Cheshire, on 28 September 1894. A Chauffeur by occupation, he entered the R.N.A.S. as a Petty Officer Mechanic on 26 October 1914. Shown on The Guardian Roll of Honour as based at the ‘Head Office’, it further records that he was in the Armoured Car Brigade and was Invalided out. His m.i.c. indicates he was later a Lieutenant in the R.N.V.R. Sold with copied service paper and other research.

William Frank Davis was born in Ferryside, Carmarthenshire, on 23 June 1884. A Chauffeur by occupation, he enlisted into the Royal Naval Air Service as a Petty Officer Mechanic (E) on 14 January 1915. Based at
Pembroke III and President II, he served with No. 3 Wing in France and later served at Cranwell and Felixstow. He was later taken into the R.A.F. Sold with copied service paper and m.i.c.
