Sub-Lieutenant J. A. Cook, Hawke Battalion, Royal Naval Division, died of wounds on 13 November 1916. He was buried in the Y Ravine Cemetery, Beaumont-Hamel, France. He was the son of the Rev. Donald Cook and Gertrude J. Cook of 27 Dalhousie Terrace, Edinburgh.
