Alfred William White was born in Pembroke. A Brewer by occupation and a Captain in the 4th Volunteer Battalion South Wales Borderers, he attested for service in the Imperial Yeomanry at Tenby on 16 February 1901. Posted initially as a Private, he was commissioned on 30 September 1901 and served in South Africa, 13 March-29 September 1901. Sold with copied service papers.
