George Edward Rayner was born in Hammersmith, lived at Westbourne Park and enlisted at Marylebone. Serving with the 9th Battalion Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment), he was killed in action on 8 April 1916. He was buried in Vermelles British Cemetery, France.
