Charles I (1625-1649), Pattern Halfcrown, 1628, by N. Briot, in silver, mm. anemone on obv. only, equestrian portrait left, signed n. briot f in exergue, rev. crowned oval garnished shield dividing date, 14.78g/6h (SCBI Brooker 1258, same dies; N 2673). Lightly worked in obverse field, otherwise very fine and toned, very rare (£800-1,000)
