Patterns, Pattern Shilling, 1635, by N. Briot, in silver, no mm, signed b both sides, crowned bust left, rev. square-topped shield between crowned c r, crown dividing date above, 5.67g/6h (SCBI Brooker 1252, same dies; N 2677). Very fine and extremely rare (£2,500-3,000)

Contrary to the entry in SCBI Brooker, this coin is signed on both sides, but the obverse mark is very faint and in close proximity to the central lozenge at 12 o’clock
