Late Declaration issues, Sixpence, 1645, Ashby-de-la-Zouch (?), mm. horizontal A on obv. only, plumelet in front of bust, rev. Declaration, three plumelets above, date below, 2.99g/3h (SCBI Brooker 1121, same dies; Morr. A-1; N 2522; S 3033). Striking split at 7 o’clock and legends weak in places, otherwise very fine and toned with a well-struck portrait, extremely rare (£3,000-4,000)
