18th (Victoria Mary Princess of Wales’s Own) Hussars, an extremely fine and rare officer’s forage cap badge c1905-10 in die-cast rich fire gilt, a KC over laurel sprays enclosing an oval ‘Pro Rege Pro Lege Pro Patria Conamur’, in the centre on solid ground the burnished numerals ‘XVIII’ over ‘H’, on the laurels the honours ‘Peninsula’ ‘Waterloo’, at the base a scroll ‘Princess of Wales’s Own’, two gilt lugs, mint state £250-350
