An attractive Georgian infantry officer’s spadroon, the straight 82cm blade undecorated but for the Royal Arms which appear on both sides, copper-gilt knucklebow, small side-guard inset with a diamond, cushion shaped pommel and facetted ferrule, reeded ebony grip fitted with four copper-gilt ribs, retaining its red and gold bullion sword knot, complete with its blind tooled black leather scabbard, retaining top chape with single suspension ring and frog-stud, the mounts retain almost all the original gilding, some rust marking to blade, side-guard a little misshapen, and chape lacking £550-600
