A fine Royal Navy officer’s sword of the Royal Dockyard Battalion, the curved 79cm blade by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London, un-numbered, finely etched with crowned VR cypher, fouled anchor, foliate scrolls etc and Royal Dockyard Battn, retaining almost all original finish, regulation copper-gilt solid half-basket guard incoporating crowned fouled anchor, folding side guard, fish-skin covered grip bound with copper wire, hilt retaining its red and gold sword knot, complete with its black leather scabbard with copper-gilt top locket and chape the former with two oppossed suspension rings, embossed shield with makers details, hilt and scabbard mounts retaining almost all original gilding, minor crease to scabbard otherwise in fine condition throughout £650-750
