Victoria (1837-1901), Pattern Penny, 1860, restrike by J. Moore for E. Shorthouse, type 1, in light copper, laureate bust left, rev. Britannia seated to front, edge plain, 10.30g/12h (F 831 [dies 2+A; Sale, lot 270, this coin]; BMC –; Magnay 267, this coin; cf. Adams 160). Characteristic group of rust spots on neck and by olive branch, spot on lower jaw, otherwise brilliant and practically as struck, extremely rare (£250-300)
