France, Completion of the First Section of the Grand Canal d’Alsace, 1932, an octagonal Art Déco bronze plaque by M. Renard for the Société Energie Electrique du Rhin, cross-section of the canal set against a construction backdrop, bird flying below, rev. symbolic male nude kneeling, clouds and power station at Kembs in background, 71mm (cf. DNW 64, 1392). A powerful design, very fine and rare (£80-100)
