20th Century, Visit of the Prince of Wales to Hull, Trinity House Medal, 1926, a silver medal by W.J. Dingley, bust half-left, rev. armorial shield of Trinity House, hallmarked Birmingham 1926, 32mm (BHM –; E –). Extremely fine and probably very rare; with clip, ring, original ribbon and pin for suspension, contained in blue fitted case by Henry Lee & Sons, Goldsmiths & Jewellers, 23 Whitefriargate, Hull (£90-120)

Trinity House is the body charged with the supervision of lighthouses throughout the United Kingdom, and further research may well reveal the role which the Prince of Wales performed in this connection during his visit to Hull
