3568 Private J. Burns, 2nd Battalion Seaforth Highlanders, was wounded at Paardeberg, 18 February 1900 and was taken prisoner by the Boers at Swalkrantz, 4 June 1900, and later released. Q.S.A. clasps confirmed on roll extract.
