Memorial Plaque 1914-18 (Horace Harold Ball) good very fine £120-160

Horace Harold ball was born in Westminster, Middlesex and living in Leyton, Essex, enlisted at Stratford. Serving as Lance-Sergeant 5082 in the 1st Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers, he was killed in action on the 1st day of the Battle of the Somme, 1 July 1916, aged 22 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. He was the son of Charles Ball of 26 Mosely Road, Francis Road, Leyton, London.
