Indian Mutiny 1857-59, no clasp (Jas. Blackmore, H.M’s. 81st Regt.) very fine £160-200

James Blackmore was born in the Parish of St, George’s, Bristol. A Labourer by occupation, he attested for 81st Regiment at Bristol on 4 December 1846. He served 12 years in India, which included service in the suppression of the Indian Mutiny. He was discharged on 30 August 1869, aged 39 years, being in possession of four Good Conduct Badges and a L.S. & G.C. Medal in addition to his Mutiny Medal. Sold with copied discharge papers.
