John Nixon was born at Carlisle, Cumberland, and enlisted into the 36th Foot on 23 April 1805. He was discharged in the rank of Corporal at Portsmouth on 20 May 1816, in consequence of rheumatism, then aged 31. Sold with copy discharge papers.
