The Lancashire Hussars, a very fine and rare special design card case (10cm x 8cm) the double sprung frame in HM silver (London 1900 by GHJ) the panels of pale khaki twill, the front one applied with the bullion and velvet badge as worn on the full dress pouch, a QVC over double ‘VR’ monogram with central gold bullion and velvet Red Rose, the inner pockets retain one printed card of the original owner, ‘Sir Humphrey de Trafford‘ (Baronet), additionally inscribed in his own hand ‘With Best Wishes from’ together with photostats showing de Trafford and other officers newly returned from the Boer War, wear to the velvet sections of the badge otherwise in very good condition £250-350
