New South Wales Irish Rifle Regiment, a very scarce KC white metal cap badge, c1902-18, crown over the Maid and Harp over a shamrock with Erse or Gaelic motto (lead the way) below and unit title at the base ‘NSW Irish Rifle Regiment’, floral sprays in surround, together with one only solid brass shoulder title being two inscribed tablets ‘NSW’ ‘Irish Rifles’ within a fretted shamrock (see Cossum Pt2 Fig.19 and p59); Australian Rifle Regiment, a scarce single bronzed collar badge KC over rose sprays, central cassowary bird over ARR and scroll at the base ‘For Home and Country’ (Cossum Pt2 Fig 17); 4th Australian Infantry Battalion or Light Horse? (1914) cap badge in brass being a cross upon a star, floral heads on the star, central ‘4’ and motto strap ‘Fidelis El-Teb Paratus’ (two lugs present out of three); a QVC collar of the NSW MIlitary Forces and a KC collar of the Australian Artillery a bi-metal KC cap of the Canadian ‘Regiment de Maisonneuve’, good overall condition (7) £100-120
