Royal Sussex Regiment, an extremely fine depiction of the officer’s cap badge in Sterling Silver and enamels but approximately three times larger, the reverse fitted with three short screw posts probably applied to a piece of mess silver or furniture; together with a fine quality clan glengarry badge in unmarked silver coloured metal, a large oval strap ‘Sans Crainte’, with central device in high relief of an eagle rising on ground and a torse, original pin back (possibly Gordon-Cumming family); unknown military or civilian society badge, a multi rayed gilt star (1822 shako plate style) bearing a large silver St. Andrew and Cross, this subsequently hand painted and crudely attached to the back plate, original fittings removed, now with pin fastener, very good condition (3) £70-100
