Scottish officer’s sword, a cross-bar hilted sword for an officer of the Royal Scots Fusiliers, the straight 83cm blade by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London, No 43450 for 1912 single narrow groove to blade and double grooves to ricasso, etched with flaming grenade and ‘Royal Scots Fusiliers’ thistles, foliate scrolls etc and owners initials ‘CEG’ within a cartouche, correct finials for cross-bar guard for this regiment but with an unusual variation, having a large additional side bar, fish-skin covered grip bound with copper wire, elongated pommel, blade and mounts lightly pitted and discoloured and lacking scabbard £150-200
