Three: Petty Officer Mechanic A. Anderson, Royal Naval Air Service, late Royal Scots

Alexander Anderson was born in Dunfermline, Fifeshire, on 1 July 1894. An Engineer Fitter by occupation, he enlisted into the Royal Scots and then on 16 June 1915, into the R.N.A.S. as an Air Mechanic 1st Class. Based on President II and then Manica, June 1915-April 1917, he was advanced to Leading Mechanic in December 1916. He was posted to Hyacinth at Zanzibar in April 1917 where he served with No.8 Squadron. He returned to England in March 1918 and was taken into the R.A.F. Sold with copied service paper.
