Engineer Lieutenant-Commander (later Rear-Admiral) George Wilfred Le Page, R.N. Awarded the D.S.O. London Gazette 5 October 1918. ‘In recognition of the valuable services rendered by him to the Allied cause in Russia since 1914’. Sold with a photocopy of an article in the September 2004 edition of the Journal of the Orders and Medals Research Society, entitled, ‘An Engineer Commander in Russia’, by Richard C. Witte, which details Le Page’s service, principally in Russia, including his arrest by the Cheka (Bolshevik counter-revolution police).
