Albert John Issac was born in and enlisted at Exeter. Serving with “D” Company, 2nd Battalion Devonshire Regiment, he was killed in action on 25 March 1918, aged 37 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial. He was the son of Albert Henry and Sarah Annie Isaac of 28 Holloway Street, Exeter.
