Rosaire Bourassa entered into the Canadian Army in October 1948 and in November was posted to the 22nd Regiment. He was transferred to the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps in November 1951. With the 37th Field Ambulance he served in Korea, April-October 1952. Then in a variety of medical units was based in Japan, October 1952-May 1953. Awarded the Canadian Decoration in 1960. He later qualified as a Radiographer, and in January 1969 was promoted to Sergeant. Sold with copied service papers which indicate he was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal for Korea in 1992.
