Hugh Duffy was born in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, and living at Blaintyre, Glasgow, he enlisted at Hamilton. Serving with the 6th Battalion Wiltshire Regiment, he was killed in action on 25 September 1915. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial. Memorial Plaque with associated Buckingham Palace slip.
