M.S.M. London Gazette 18 October 1916 (France). ‘... in recognition of valuable services rendered during the present War’. This list contains 403 names and was the first list which, following changes in the Royal Warrant 1916, enabled the medal to be awarded to “Warrant officers, non-commissioned officers and men who render valuable and meritorious service”.
