With extract from medal roll showing 2544 Private John Harrison, 7th Foot, was invalided due to wounds sustained at the battle of Alma. The same roll confirms the Alma clasp only. 14 officers and 559 men of the 7th Foot died in this campaign as recorded on a plaque in Winchester Cathedral.
