Massey: Commendation for Valuable Service in the Air
London Gazette 7 September 1945.

Squadron Leader Charles William Bowes Massey, R.A.F.V.R. is believed to have been onboard the plane carrying General Wladyslaw Sikorski when it crashed at Gibraltar on 4 July 1943. Official reports of the time stated that only the pilot survived the crash. Sold with original commendation certificate and a quantity of copied research.
