British War and Victory Medals (3903 Pte., R.W. Kent.); General Service 1918-62, 1 clasp, Palestine (342440 Act. Sgt., R.A.F.); 1939-45 Star; Africa Star, clasp, North Africa 1942-43; Italy Star; Defence and War Medals, with small oak leaf M.I.D. emblem; Royal Air Force L.S. & G.C., G.V.R. Sold with some original documents, photographs and news cuttings, including M.I.D. Certificate dated 17 September 1943 (Warrant Officer).

Flight Lieutenant Robert W. Stockwell enlisted in the Royal West Kent Regiment at Bromley in 1915, and served with the Egyptian Expeditionary Force during the Palestine campaign. He transferred to the Royal Air Force in 1920 and served continuously until his release to the Reserve of Air Force Officers in 1945. During the 2nd World War he served in North Africa and Italy, being Camp Commandant of the Base Personnel Office and President of the Standing Committee of Adjustments (Italy). In 1949 he took over the duties of Adjutant No. 228 Squadron (Bromley) Air Training Corps and was appointed as its Commanding Officer in 1956, retiring in January 1961.
