Lieutenant Richard Saville Francis was born at Chipping Norton, Berkshire in 1871. He enlisted into the 51st Company, Imperial Yeomanry with the rank of Trooper in January 1900; embarking for South Africa on the16th of March that year. Francis was commissioned into the 107th Company, Imperial Yeomanry on 17 April 1901. Sold with copies of service papers and confirmation of medals and clasps.
