A group of three miniature dress medals attributed to Sir Havilland Le Mesurier, K.C.I.E., C.S.I., comprising: Order of the Star of India, breast Badge in silver, silver-gilt and enamels, with gold fittings and cameo centre; Order of the Indian Empire, silver-gilt and enamels, enamel damage to legend; Delhi Durbar 1911; together with full size ribbon bar for these three medals, generally good very fine or better and the C.S.I. an attractive and fine quality piece (3) £200-250

Sir Havilland Le Mesurier K.C.I.E., C.S.I. was born in 1866. He entered the Indian Civil Service in 1884 serving as Assistant Commissioner, Assam; Assistant Magistrate and Collector, Bengal, 1892; Joint Magistrate and Deputy Collector, 1893; Magistrate and Collector, Bengal, 1897; Commissioner of Dacca, 1906; Chief Secretary of Government of East Bengal, 1909; of Bihar and Orissa, 1912-16; Commissioner of Orissa, 1916; Member of Executive Council, 1917-22; Acting Governor, 1922, retired 1922 and died April 1931.
