Royal Air Force, Pilots Flying Log Books (2), belonging to Flight Lieutenant R. H. Marpole, Nos. 113 and 211 Squadrons, for the period 1932 to 1942, with various enclosures including a ‘blood chit’ for Ethiopia, Singapore Driving Licence and B.E.A. Identity Card 1957 £140-180

Flight Lieutenant R. H. Marpole was shot down over France on 8th June 1944. He evaded capture until 31st August and finally got back from Paris via the American lines. Earlier in the war he had been flying Blenheims in North Africa with 211 Squadron.
