Royal Naval Air Service, a scarce Great War Pilot’s Flying Log Book, pilot’s name illegible, for the period December 1917 to December 1919, most entries relate to training but from July 1918 he was engaged in ferrying aircraft with 117 Squadron, and in September 1918 he went to France with 110 Squadron; in January 1919 he was attached to C9 Acceptance Park, Rely, as a Test Pilot, ‘testing Hun types’ including Fokker DVII and DVIII, Pfalz DXII, LVG 2 seater, Halbestaat, Rumpler, and Aviatik; together with a Second World War Observer’s and Air Gunner’s Flying Log Book belonging to R. W. Gould, Wireless Operator and Air Gunner, September 1942 to July 1943, when his training as a Navigator was ‘suspended solely due to air sickness’, good condition (2) £80-120
