Silver Presentation Cigarette Boxes (2), the lid of the first inscribed ‘Colonel D. F. D. Noel from The Service Attaches, Kabul, April 1887’, base marked ‘Silver’; the lid of the second with applied R. A. F. wings and enamelled chevron, hallmarks for 1936, this box accompanied by a handwritten letter from The Reverend E. Wall ‘This cigarette box was given to me at R. A. F. Hawarden in 1942/43 when a young Mustang pilots engine stalled at 400 feet. He was so badly injured we delayed sending a telegram for some hours. He recovered marvellously and his mother gave me one box and the M. O. another. I was the Station Chaplain.’, signed and dated 16.5.90, the lid of the second box slightly buckled, otherwise generally good condition (2) £70-90
