Second Lieutenant Bertie Charleton Banks was killed in action in France and Flanders on 5 November 1916, whilst serving with the 8th Battalion, Durham Light Infantry. His name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France. Sold with copy m.i.c. and 13 pages copied from National Archives correspondence file.
