The mounted group of ten miniature dress medals attributed to Lieutenant-Colonel R. R. Sleman, Royal Army Medical Corps, Order of St. John, Officer, silver; Queen’s South Africa, 4 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Johannesburg, Diamond Hill; British War and Victory Medals; Territorial War Medal; Coronation 1911; Volunteer Decoration, E.VII.R., complete with top bar; Territorial Decoration, G.V.R., complete with top bar; Order of the League of Mercy, silver-gilt and enamel; Serbia, Order of the White Eagle, 2nd type, 4th Class, with swords, silver-gilt, gold and enamel, rosette on ribbon, mounted as worn, in Spink, London leather case, lid bearing the initials of the recipient, nearly extremely fine (10) £90-120

Lieutenant-Colonel R. R. Sleman, served with the City of London Imperial Volunteers as a Medical Officer during the Boer War and was mentioned in despatches. During the Great War he was on the staff in France / Flanders as Assistant Director of Medical Services, January - March 1917. He was awarded the Serbian Order of the White Eagle 5th Class with swords.
