Canada General Service 1866-70, 1 clasp, Fenian Raid 1866 (Lt. F. Clowes, 30/Regt.) engraved naming, some bruising and contact marks to the obverse, otherwise good very fine £250-300

Frederick Clowes was appointed Ensign in the 30th Regiment in September 1863, became Lieutenant in November 1865, and served in Canada during 1866. He served in the Ashantee war from the 30th November 1873, and commanded the Kosso company of Wood’s Regiment at the battle of Amoaful. He retired on Full Pay as a Lieutenant-Colonel.
