Sold with photograph of the recipient in uniform and interesting extracts from letters about his Indian service. He served with E Battery, R.H.A., during the ‘Red Shirt’ rebellion of 1930-31. He was recalled and served with 29 Heavy Battery until evacuated at Dunkirk in May 1940, afterwards serving in the U.K. on coastal defence.
